Weak complete parts in semihypergroups
In this article we generalize the notion of complete parts, by introducing a weaker condition in definition. Using this generalization we define and analyse a new class of semihypergroups, which are called weak complete semihypergroups. Complete parts were introduced about 40 years ago by M. Koskas and they represent a basic notion of hyperstucture theory, utilized in constructing an important ...
متن کاملErgodicity and Mixing of Noncommuting Epimorphisms
We study mixing properties of epimorphisms of a compact connected finite-dimensional abelian group X . In particular, we show that a set F , |F | > dimX , of epimorphisms of X is mixing iff every subset of F of cardinality (dimX)+1 is mixing. We also construct examples of free nonabelian groups of automorphisms of tori which are mixing, but not mixing of order 3, and show that, under some irred...
متن کاملQuantum Ergodicity and Mixing of Eigenfunctions
This article surveys mathematically rigorous results on quantum ergodic and mixing systems, with an emphasis on general results on asymptotics of eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds. Quantum ergodicity and mixing belong to the field of Quantum Chaos, which studies quantizations of ‘chaotic’ classical Hamiltonian systems. The basic questions are, how does the chaos of...
متن کاملOn $L_1$-weak ergodicity of nonhomogeneous continuous-time Markov processes
In the present paper we investigate the $L_1$-weak ergodicity of nonhomogeneous continuous-time Markov processes with general state spaces. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for such processes to satisfy the $L_1$-weak ergodicity. Moreover, we apply the obtained results to establish $L_1$-weak ergodicity of quadratic stochastic processes.
متن کاملWeak ergodicity of population evolution processes.
The weak ergodic theorems of mathematical demography state that the age distribution of a closed population is asymptotically independent of the initial distribution. In this paper, we provide a new proof of the weak ergodic theorem of the multistate population model with continuous time. The main tool to attain this purpose is a theory of multiplicative processes, which was mainly developed by...
